  CHPAPTER 3 Human resources empowerment ANNUAL REPORT Empowering youth at Dubai Courts Youth Council  Dubai Courts believes that young people are the asset of the future, and that empowering them to take over is the best way to preserve and develop the achieved gains and build on them to achieve more excellence and prosperity, and this trend appears clear with the remarkable increase in the numbers of young employees (18 to 35 years) whose numbers have grown within the human resources of the Courts at a rate of %2.7 in 2019 alone, which reflects the desire to give young women competencies the opportunity, and work to develop and empower them, as they constitute %46 of the total Dubai Courts staff with 538 employees of both sexes in the age group 18 to 35 years. Of these, 244 are male staff (%45) and 293 are females (%55.) Among Dubai Courts staff, youths account for 2 leadership roles, 15 judges, 42 supervisors and 478 executives. This comes in the context of a strategic direction that Dubai Courts began many years ago, and found its actual translation through the establishment of the Dubai Courts Youth Council on 13 November 2016 based on the recommendation issued by the minutes of the Leadership Council meeting for development and institutional creativity The Council initially included 7 members, then it was restructured in early October 2018, so that the members were increased to 10. In addition to that, 5 sub-councils were established to support the main council of the sectors of Dubai Courts. Duties of the council members: 1. Establishing a communication platform between the youth staff working at Dubai Courts and the leaders of Dubai Courts to learn about 108
