Courts of first instance

About Courts of first instance 
The Courts of First Instance are first degree courts and are composed of seven specialized courts: Personal Status Court, Civil Court, Punitive Court, Commercial Court, Real Estate Court, Labour Court and Execution Court. Each Court consists of a Court President whose grade is not lower than appeal Judge. The Courts of First Instance will be presided by a Court President whose grade is not lower than senior appeal judge.

Jurisdictions of Courts of first instance 
The Courts of First Instance have the power to consider and adjudicate all first instance lawsuits, execution of executive bonds, adjudicate summary judgements and lawsuits and document settlements between litigants, in pursuant to jurisdiction rules provided for in the law. 

Formation of Judicial Circuits
The judicial circuits comprise of one judge, save for the Circuits of Grand Felonies Court, which comprise of three judges.  

Fees payable to the Court
Fees against lawsuits and applications are paid according to Local Fees Law applicable in the Emirate of Dubai.
