​.Mr. Issa Bin Tameem, Director of the Amicable Dispute Resolution Centre at Dubai Courts, has unveiled the centre's statistics for 2023. These figures underscore the successful endeavours made by the administration in achieving settlements and reconciliation in disputes. The centre has seen a surge in the number of reconciliation agreements, marking an increase of 74.67% over the previous year. Furthermore, the financial settlements, denominated in dirhams, have reached a staggering total of 4,773,646,865..Bin Tameem affirmed that the centre has been instrumental in fostering a culture of settlement and reconciliation, and in peacefully resolving disputes. It is regarded as a valuable resource for individuals, companies, and the entire community in achieving settlement and justice in disputes. From this perspective, the centre concluded a number of reconciliation agreements, resolving 2,531 disputes in 2023, and issued 3,266 decisions to end disputes. Furthermore, 910 expert disputes were resolved following the submission of the appropriate report..The Director of the Amicable Dispute Resolution Centre has further elucidated that there has been a 41% increase in registration over the previous year. This underscores the growing inclination of disputing parties to resort to settlement and reconciliation as an effective means of dispute resolution, and the enhancement in the speed of concluding them at an excellent rate. An agreement was reached in an average of 16 days from the date of inviting the parties to the dispute for settlement and reconciliation. Furthermore, 598 requests for approval of reconciliation agreements were executed at a rate of just one day, contributing to the acceleration of the dispute resolution process and the achievement of justice. These accomplishments have had a positive impact on community happiness, raising the happiness percentage of the users to reach 98%.In the context of digital transformation, Bin Tameem highlighted that a 100% rate was achieved in the adoption of reconciliation agreements via the digital signature of all disputing parties. This has significantly contributed to the facilitation and acceleration of the settlement process, achieving greater efficiency in dispute management.
