. During its participation in the International Conference for Court Administration 2025, Dubai Courts presented two research papers highlighting its advanced model in achieving human-centered justice and judicial excellence. . At this prestigious international event focused on justice and judicial management, Dubai Courts contributed two key papers. The first, titled “Human-Centered Justice, was presented by His Excellency Mohammed Ahmad Al Obaidli, Executive Director of the Case Management Sector. The second, titled “Judicial Excellence in Practice, was presented by Ms. Alia Al Majid, Director of Strategy and Institutional Performance. . In his paper, His Excellency Mohammed Al Obaidli highlighted the range of innovative community-focused services offered by Dubai Courts, emphasizing how the concept of justice has evolved from a traditional framework centered on dispute resolution to a comprehensive developmental approach that places the human being at its core. Al Obaidli discussed several key themes, including social justice as a driver of prosperity, where courts transform from a reactive to a proactive role — one that strengthens family and social cohesion through initiatives such as “Courts of Goodness, “Awon, and “Shoor, which provide comprehensive support to individuals facing financial hardship and those with limited income. . Al Obaidli also shed light on several initiatives that embody the UAE's deep-rooted approach to empowering all segments of society, including the “People of Determination Package, the “Dubai Foster Care Committee, the “Wadeema Law, and various “Women-Focused Activities, all of which aim to safeguard the rights of individuals and ensure their easy and equitable access to justice. He further discussed innovation in community engagement through initiatives such as “Be Legal and “Happy Family, which promote legal awareness and strengthen family cohesion through creative outreach methods that reach millions of people.. The paper emphasized that this model goes beyond the delivery of exceptional services; it establishes a new paradigm for the judiciary's role as an active partner in building a cohesive and secure society—an approach that positively impacts the investment environment and reinforces Dubai's position as a global capital for economy and justice.. For her part, Ms. Alia Al Majid presented a practical framework for achieving judicial excellence, drawing on the white paper issued by Dubai Courts in partnership with Sia and in collaboration with the National Center for State Courts (NCSC), titled “Enhancing Judicial Excellence Through Competitiveness : A Framework for Future-Ready Courts.. This working paper is the outcome of an international partnership aimed at advancing the concept of judicial competitiveness. Through it, Alia Al Majid focused on identifying practical methods for translating the concepts of excellence into measurable and improvable practices, by employing the Judicial Competitiveness Framework as a comprehensive and integrated tool for performance measurement—one that does not rely solely on operational efficiency or the speed of case adjudication, but also incorporates indicators of innovation, digital transformation, and the level of public trust. She further addressed the development of future-ready courts capable of keeping pace with global transformations through the adoption of flexibility, proactivity, and sustainability in delivering judicial services. In addition, the paper examined the linkage with global goals, emphasizing that this framework contributes directly to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 16 (SDG 16) related to peace, justice, and strong institutions. Al Majid also explained how adopting this framework enables Dubai Courts to become a dynamic and proactive institution that not only responds to challenges but anticipates and prepares for them in advance—placing it among the most progressive and advanced judicial models worldwide.. The third day of the conference, within its dedicated track on future readiness and excellence, served as a dynamic platform for the exchange of global expertise. Dubai Courts presented a comprehensive model that seamlessly integrates the theoretical depth of the strategic framework for judicial excellence with tangible, human-centred practical applications. The two working papers further enriched the global discourse on the future of court administration by introducing a distinguished approach that harmonizes technical efficiency with human considerations, moving beyond purely operational or technical dimensions. This, in turn, reinforces Dubai's position as an international hub for the production and application of judicial knowledge and as a leader in shaping the global dialogue on the advancement of justice.. It is worth noting that Dubai Courts serves as a principal organizing partner of this international conference, with its participation reaffirming its commitment to adopting global best practices and sustaining its active contribution to shaping the future of the judiciary—not only at the level of the Emirate, but across the region and the world. This commitment is embodied in a model that firmly positions justice as a fundamental pillar for the development of communities and the assurance of their sustained prosperity.. . . .
