Settlements : A service provided by Dubai Courts to present existing disputes between parties, whether civil, commercial, or real estate, to a competent authority for amicable resolution, with simplified procedures, faster processing, and lower costs, thus helping parties avoid going to court.

- Disputes with a claim value not exceeding AED 500,000.
- Disputes involving UAE (Senior) citizens aged 60 or above, where the claim value does not exceed AED 1,000,000.
- Disputes involving persons with disabilities or beneficiaries of social financial benefits under Law No. (7) of 2012 on Social Financial Benefits in the Emirate of Dubai.
- None of the parties may be a bank, financial institution, or finance company.
- Requests for partition of common property, except those related to inheritance-derived common property.
- Independent requests for appointment of an expert, if the subject of the dispute falls under the jurisdiction of Dubai Courts, and the dispute is not already pending or previously adjudicated.
The statement of dispute must include:
Names and full addresses of the parties (claimant and respondent).
Facts of the case and the claimed amount with
reference to the attached supporting documents,
and Final requests for financial claims.
Attach documents including:
Proof of identity for all parties. Commercial license (for companies and establishments).
Supporting documents proving financial obligations between parties.
All documents must be legally translated into Arabic and certified by the UAE Ministry of Justice.
Documents issued abroad must be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the issuing country, the UAE Embassy there, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the UAE.
-Request for Settlement of a Dispute with a Determined Value:
Upon registration of a financial claim, a fee of AED 250 is charged.
If settlement fails, an additional fee of 6% of the dispute value is charged, provided that it is not less than AED 500 and does not exceed AED 20,000 per request.
-Request for Appointment of an Expert:
Fee: AED 12,001.
-Request for Approval of Settlement Agreement (with consent of both parties):
Fee: AED 250.
-Request for Partition of Common Property:
Fee: 1% of the claimant’s shared portion value, with a maximum of AED 40,000 per contract. If the share value cannot be determined, the fee will be AED 12,001.
