CHPAPTER 1 Continuing the strategic course ANNUAL REPORT - Contribution to Yak Al Oun initiative to release financially troubled prisoners It is a humanitarian initiative launched by Dubai Courts in cooperation with Emarat Al Youm newspaper and the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Work in Dubai, with the aim of seeking the release of citizens imprisoned in financial cases in the Emirate of Dubai, by encouraging the private sector and businessmen to adopt this initiative and providing the necessary support to the target group. In addition to the previous initiatives, Dubai Courts organized a number of activities in conjunction with the “National Festival for Tolerance and Human Fraternity” organized by the Ministry of Tolerance in November of 2019 under the slogan “On the path of Zayed”, where the tolerance team in Dubai Courts launched a number of events, such as introducing the most prominent Symbols of tolerance through the “Who Said It?” competition, which is based on publishing famous quotes on tolerance and asking employees about the saying, in addition to a workshop entitled “Keys to Tolerance” that included practical applications on the basic concepts of tolerance, preparing participants and enabling them to employ the six keys of the tolerant personality in their professional and personal lives, as well as the organization of a number of lectures that addressed the culture of tolerance, its concept and its roots in the UAE society, which today embraces more than 200 nationalities from different religions in coexistence and harmony and love on the soil of the United Arab Emirates. 40
