The Court of Appeal is the second degree of litigation in the Emirate of Dubai. It is competent in looking into contests to verdicts and judgments of First Instance Courts, which aredissatis edbyconvictedpeopleswhether these verdicts are Criminal or Civil. The verdicts issued
by this Court may be challenged at the Cassation Court according to the provisions of the Law. The Court of Appeal received 10,519 cases in 2018 and saw progress in most of its indicators, especially the average verdict term from rst hearing and average verdict term from registration date.
