Director General of Dubai Courts issue the 2021 Annual Report under the title “Digital Justice, Creating the Future”


 .H.E. Taresh Eid Al Mansouri, Director General of Dubai Courts has issued the Dubai Courts 2021 Annual Report under the title Digital Justice, Creating the Future. The issuance of the report was on the agenda of Dubai Courts Forum, held lately at the Museum of the Future in Dubai. The report document the activities and accomplishments achieved annually besides providing significant information about Dubai Courts and tribunals. The annual report included information about the judicial and administrative system in addition to the strategic plan, projects and completed initiatives. The issuance of the report was attended by His Excellency Judge Omar Atiq Almury, Deputy Director-General of Dubai Courts, head of tribunals, chief judges, head of departments and staff of different categories. .After a year full of accomplishments, we give you this summary report of the most significant accomplishments by Dubai Courts, said H. E. Taresh Eid Al Mansouri. His Excellency explained that Dubai Courts annual report contains the strategy, vision, mission, objectives and strategic indicators of Dubai Courts. It also contains summary of work by all organizational units at Dubai Courts and their projects, initiatives and performance levels. The report ensure providing best services to customers and achieve happiness for all and prosperity in society in line with the vision of H. H. Sheik Mohamed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. .The Director-General of Dubai Courts affirmed that the change in management of work may face challenges and obstacles. Most significant obstacles are the resistance to change and fear of change inconsistency with the workers and society. In reality, every change faces resistance but time and modern trials have proven that the well-studied and accurate change will affirm the resolution. .His Excellency further indicated that in Dubai Courts our resolution was inevitable change to digital transformation in Dubai Courts services. The resolution was in line with vision of Dubai and UAE Governments towards digital transformation in all governmental fields. The numbers were promising by 100% in transformation from traditional services to online and digital services. .We are proud that Dubai Courts achieved this through its implemented strategies and programs. Those programs have become real and fact, with most significant being Dubai Courts being named as the happiest work environment by the Dubai Government Excellence Program. Happiness indicators between staff have reached 98% beside obtaining appreciation certificate for the active use of the online payment system of Dubai Government during 2021. Dubai Courts was also awarded the Bronze award within the International Work Awards Program for commitment to apply the highest standard in projects and development initiatives Wazefati launched by HR Department. Dubai Court was awarded also the Globe Business award, which is award for excellence in communication. .H.E. Al Mansouri explained that Dubai Courts has its signature in international activities through organizing the The International Union of Judicial Officers (UIHJ) during 2021 held under the title Digital Justice, new opportunities for Judicial Officers beside active participating in EXPO 2020 and launching Digital Litigation. This program transferred all courts hearing into remote hearings permanently. .H.E. Al Mansouri affirmed that the report is full of accomplishments and results that support the aspiration of the UAE to become the number one globally. .The annual report of 2021 reveled distinct performance by Dubai Courts. Such performance exceeded the expectations in institutional communication with the clients, through immediate contact by calling and answering inquiries within record time. It also include contacting with clients through social media websites. Through the Social media websites, remarks and impressions of the clients are received. The total number of clients using social media websites of Dubai Courts was around 2 million, 724 thousand and 299. .On the results and indicators of the three courts Trial, Appeal and Cassation, the annual report of 2021 indicated rise in the achieved results of the trial court, which was measured by Rasid Program. The program provides unified tool for enhancing the institutional governance. The system recorded high performance indicators during 2021, whereas judgment period from first hearing was 69.4 day compared to the achieved results during the past years. .The report showed remarkable increase in application of smart services at the three courts. The total number of smart application was around 657,329 applications, meanwhile the number of completed smart applications was around 182,657 applications. Dubai Courts have also provided smart auctions services on the hour, in order to comply with the digital transformation witnessed by UAE. Whereas, sales value have witnessed rise in 2021 compared to the previous years and have reached 2,625,578,980 Dirhams. .While focusing on values of tolerance to achieve justice, Dubai Courts have provided solutions to solve disputes through amicable settlements before moving to legal action. Results during 2021 were particularly successful and distinguished. Settlements percentage at the Amicable Settlement Center reached 87% with 3,022 settlements. On the other hand, the family and inheritance settlements witnessed increase in Dubai Courts. Settlements in family cases reached 94% with 437 settlements, and in inheritance cases the percentage was 100% with 300 settlements. .The annual report of 2021 showed excellence performance by Dubai Courts in applying the unified complaints system of Dubai Government. The Courts performance reached 100% in complaints solved within 7 working days. .Dubai Courts launched also several initiatives and programs that achieved tangible achievements by focusing on the employee's needs, including You need something Initiative that cover the psychological health of the employee. This initiative left positive mark based on the questionnaire results. Also Wazefati initiative helps in developing the skills of staff and introduce them to the most significant criteria in their job description. .From Dubai Courts vision Pioneering and Internationally Distinguished Courts comes the program Excellence and Happiness Stars. The program aims to support the internal work environment and encourage staff to be creative while raising the clients' happiness. . It is worth mentioning that the annual report of Dubai Courts is issued regularly and annually to document all activities and events held at the court during the year. Consequently, the report is considered as record of Dubai Courts Achievements, providing trusted information to specialists and interested parties, including decision makers and researchers. The annual report shows the commitment by the departments at Dubai Courts to achieve excellence and continuous aim to promote the institutional performance so that Dubai Courts become global model according to developed administrative system. Through this report, Dubai Courts aim to evaluate the stages that have been accomplished in regard to the continuous development mechanism, successful projects and initiatives, operational plan, strategic objectives, improvement opportunities, if any, and work to enhance and achieve the vision of Pioneering and Internationally Distinguished Courts. .​.
